Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors accusing her of fraud for allegedly not meeting her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors, who poured around $1.2 million into the venture, claim that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, was supposed to play a key role in the company’s marketing efforts but failed to deliver. They assert that promises, such as the creation of a mobile app, were left unfulfilled.
According to the legal filing in federal court in Delaware, Gomez reportedly signed a contract but did not uphold her commitments. The investors argue that the company, which aimed to enhance users’ “mental fitness,” did not live up to its obligations, including timely payments to employees and vendors. They allege that the true state of the business was not disclosed to them until a news report surfaced in September 2025, prompting their legal action to recover their investments and legal expenses.
A spokesperson for Gomez has yet to respond to requests for comment on the matter.
