The heatwave could continue with 36C in the south-east on Friday, maintaining temperatures above 30C across England.
Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to see temperatures in the low to mid-20s during this period, while parts of Wales could reach 29-30C. Temperature anomaly maps for next week indicate a significant rise in temperatures across the UK above the seasonal average.
The Met Office anticipates a hot weekend in the south, followed by warm to hot conditions on Monday. Towards the latter part of the week, there is a higher chance of frontal systems or thundery spells affecting southern and eastern regions, with temperatures expected to remain above average.
The BBC also suggests a resurgence of warmth next week, especially in England and Wales, particularly in the south. While temperatures may not reach recent peaks, they are likely to surpass average levels, with some areas hitting 30C or higher. Parts of Scotland may experience temperatures closer to seasonal norms.
