Police are in pursuit of a fugitive who escaped from a prison van while en route to court. The man, identified as Stephen Grzyb, 22, from the West Derby/Dovecot area of Liverpool, managed to flee from the GEOAmey transport van as it arrived at Liverpool Magistrates Court. Grzyb, who was facing charges related to a domestic burglary, was last seen wearing a navy T-shirt and navy shorts.
Merseyside Police issued a statement appealing for information to locate Grzyb after his escape. T/Inspector Bethan Hannon emphasized the importance of public assistance in apprehending Grzyb swiftly. Citizens were urged to report any sightings of Grzyb and warned against aiding him to avoid legal consequences. The police are conducting thorough investigations and patrols across the city center to ensure Grzyb’s return to custody.
