Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky and Benjamin Netanyahu individually at the White House today. This meeting follows Zelensky’s recent accusation that Russia aided Iran in targeting US troops.
Both the Ukrainian and Israeli presidents are currently in Washington DC to pay their respects at Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral. Graham passed away at the age of 71 earlier this month.
Zelensky plans to discuss enhancing Ukraine’s anti-ballistic missile defenses with Trump. He revealed that Kyiv has obtained intelligence suggesting Russia shared satellite images with Tehran, facilitating Iran’s ability to target US military bases in the Middle East. Trump expressed his intention to verify this information and discuss it with Putin.
Following the meeting with Zelensky, Trump will engage in his first face-to-face encounter with Netanyahu since the conflict with Iran commenced on February 28.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Saturday that there has been noticeable Russian satellite surveillance of the Gulf states and US military installations since the start of July. He pointed out that these images have later surfaced in Iran, showing a direct link between Russian satellite data and Iranian military actions before, during, and after attacks.
