A TikTok content creator issued an apology following backlash for hauling a bathtub up Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales, for a record-breaking attempt and leaving it there. Tom Christopher, a 25-year-old from Wales, staged the stunt to set a record for the world’s highest bath before descending without the tub, causing uproar among a group of rugby players who later retrieved it.
After facing public criticism, the TikTok personality expressed regret for his actions, acknowledging the mistake of leaving the bathtub atop the peak for 48 hours. Despite asserting that the endeavor was for a charitable purpose, the move drew disapproval from the public, particularly irking a group of rugby players who perceived it as littering in the scenic area.
Tom admitted fault, stating he should have promptly removed the tub and learned from the incident not to repeat such actions in the future. He attempted to justify his actions by emphasizing the supposed good cause behind the stunt, although the community remained unappeased by his explanation.
