“Trump Orders Strike Plan Against Iran Amid Assassination Threats”

Donald Trump has disclosed that he has provided his advisors with directives in case of a potential assassination by Iran. The US President issued this statement following his recent declarations of being Iran’s primary target. He stated, “I have given instructions – if anything were to happen, to strike them with unprecedented force.”

Trump’s remarks came in response to public calls for his demise during the funeral of Iran’s former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a message on his Truth Social platform, he warned of military action, stating, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more ready to follow immediately, should the Iranian Government act on its threat to assassinate the sitting President of the United States of America.”

The US government had previously demanded that Iran publicly announce the Strait of Hormuz’s accessibility and ensure the safety of ships navigating through the strategic waterway. The recent attacks on vessels were attributed to internal power struggles within Tehran involving hardline factions attempting to disrupt the fragile peace.

Trump had previously mentioned the continuation of negotiations with Iran amid recent tensions but emphasized the end of the ceasefire. While seeking assurances regarding the strait from Iran, Tehran’s top diplomat asserted that Iran holds sole authority over activities in the Gulf channel.

Addressing a key demand in prior talks, the initial agreement between the US and Iran guarantees unrestricted passage through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days, pending a final resolution on Iran’s nuclear program. The agreement delegates the future administration of the strait to Iran, Oman, and other Gulf states. Iran has maintained its stance on requiring ships to seek permission for passage through the strait.

This is not the first instance where Trump has expressed a desire for military action against Iran in response to alleged threats against him. During the signing of an executive order in February 2025, Trump warned of severe consequences for Iran if any harm were to come to him.
