A man in São Paulo, Brazil, underwent extensive reconstructive surgery on his jaw after a dramatic incident involving a phone theft. André Gayoso, 35, was targeted by a thief who snatched his phone while he was waiting for an Uber after a night out. In an attempt to catch the thief, André fell and suffered severe injuries, including a broken jaw and the loss of several teeth.
To repair his damaged jaw, André underwent 11 surgeries, utilizing bone and skin grafts from his right leg. Despite the challenging recovery process, André remained positive and focused on his sunglasses brand, which he was in São Paulo to promote at the time of the incident.
Following the surgeries, which included prosthetic teeth and adjustments to improve speech and appearance, André continues to undergo further treatments, such as laser procedures and micropigmentation. Despite the physical and financial challenges, André remains determined to expand his sunglasses brand, AAGYO, with plans to release new models in the near future.
