“Newborn Abducted, Found in Parking Garage: Manhunt for Nurse Impersonator”

A manhunt is underway following the abduction of a newborn from a hospital ward. The baby boy, only seven days old, was taken from the neonatal unit of a German hospital in Lüdenscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia, by a woman who posed as a nurse. The suspect, described as a woman in her mid-20s to early 30s with blonde hair, donned a light blue coat and oversized glasses.

According to the police, the woman entered a patient’s room at the hospital at 3:15 pm and took the infant under the guise of conducting an examination. The child was discovered about an hour later at 4:10 pm, found naked in a stairwell near a ticket machine at a nearby multi-story car park, the Sterncenter parking garage, just an eight-minute drive from the hospital. An ambulance promptly returned the baby to the hospital, where he is reported to be in good health.

Following the incident, a large-scale police operation was initiated, as authorities are perplexed about the woman’s motive for taking the child. Family members have stated that they did not recognize the woman who impersonated a nurse. Law enforcement officials have launched a search for the suspect, combing through CCTV footage and utilizing a sniffer dog in their investigative efforts.

The police have described the suspect as a blonde, very slim woman standing around 5 feet 10 inches tall, with her hair styled in a braid.
