“15-Year-Old Arrested for Kidnapping 17-Year-Old in Melbourne”

A 15-year-old teenager was taken into custody for reportedly kidnapping a 17-year-old girl outside a school in the southeastern part of Melbourne. The incident occurred as the girl was entering Keysborough Secondary College’s Banksia Campus in Springvale South around 8:30 am on Friday. The boy allegedly coerced the girl into a vehicle, which then left the area, according to a police report.

Law enforcement officers promptly responded to the situation, leading to the arrest of the 15-year-old suspect from Wyndham, located approximately an hour’s drive away from the school, at around midday. The teenager has been charged with abduction and is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.

The motive behind the purported abduction remains unclear at this time. The girl, who was in stable condition, was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Authorities believe that the individuals involved were acquainted with each other.

A spokesperson from Victoria Police mentioned that the Armed Crime Squad detectives pressed charges against the teenage boy for his alleged involvement in the abduction incident that took place in Springvale South. The investigators asserted that the girl was accosted by a male while entering the secondary college on Janine Road at about 8:30 am.

The male reportedly forced the girl into a vehicle, which then fled the scene. Following the incident, officers apprehended the 15-year-old boy in the Wyndham region on Jezebel Way in Tarneit around noon. The girl was promptly taken to a medical facility. The boy has been formally charged with abduction and is set to face legal proceedings later in the day. It is suspected that the individuals had a preexisting relationship.
