Police are seeking assistance in identifying a man captured in an image following an alleged sexual assault incident on a crowded London Underground Tube carriage. British Transport Police released a photo of the man, whom officers wish to talk to regarding the reported assault on a Northern Line train heading towards Tufnell Park in North London.
The incident took place when a woman boarded the train during rush hour around 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 23, and positioned herself near the doors. According to the police, the woman was reportedly sexually assaulted before the man disembarked at Tufnell Park Underground station.
A spokesperson from British Transport Police made a statement, stating, “Detectives are releasing this image in connection with their investigation of a sexual assault on a Northern Line train bound for Tufnell Park that occurred on Thursday, April 23, around 5:30 pm. The victim was assaulted by a man who later exited the train at Tufnell Park Underground station.”
Authorities are seeking the individual in the image as they believe he might possess information crucial to the ongoing investigation.
