“Manhunt for British Suspect in Colombian Model’s Murder”

Police are in pursuit of a British individual linked to the suspected killing of a Colombian model, whose body was discovered in a suitcase. Natalia Villalba Angarita, aged 36, was found deceased inside a suitcase in a rented apartment in Bogotá, Colombia. Cleaning staff found her remains hidden in the bathroom of the seventh-floor apartment after the rental period ended. Natalia, originally from Cúcuta, had two passports, one expired and one with recent travel stamps to Spain, among her belongings recovered from the scene.

Authorities are investigating the incident as a potential deliberate homicide. Forensic experts are analyzing evidence such as fingerprints and traces found at the scene, while a post mortem examination is underway to determine the exact cause and time of death. The apartment was rented from June 3, with the lease extended until June 21. During Natalia’s stay, a US citizen from Texas was present initially, followed by a British national who entered the property on June 17 and departed the next day. Surveillance footage shows the British individual carrying bed linens to a laundry area.

Law enforcement officials are actively searching for both the American and British nationals, who are currently at large. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing. The authorities are reviewing CCTV footage, security recordings, and entry logs to track the movements of the two foreign individuals as part of the inquiry. The Mirror has reached out to the Colombian National Police and the Foreign Office for comments.
