In a perplexing turn of events, a magician has disappeared without a trace in a secluded wilderness location, prompting the involvement of armed forces in the search efforts.
The missing individual, identified as 26-year-old Daniel Hidden, was last spotted leaving his residence in Queensland, Australia, at 3 am on June 14. He was en route to the Springbook area in his silver Hyundai, towing a caravan, according to acquaintances. However, he has not been seen for over a week.
A widespread search operation has been initiated by authorities to locate Daniel, who reportedly turned off his phone at 6 am on the day he went missing. Described as having long black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes, Daniel was last seen sporting a maroon top and black cargo pants.
The search, which involves the collaboration of police, firefighters, and volunteers, has been focused on scouring the expansive Springbrook region. After two days of searching, Daniel’s silver Hyundai Santa Fe and Galaxy caravan were discovered by law enforcement near Currumbin Creek Rd, several miles south of his Gold Coast residence.
To navigate the challenging terrain and cover the vast search area effectively, emergency services have enlisted support from the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Utilizing aerial assets such as police helicopters, Polair, and drones has been crucial in the search efforts, as explained by Acting Inspector Brett Jackson.
Police have emphasized that Daniel’s disappearance is considered unusual. Notably, his website features a cryptic message stating, “Transformation requires disappearance,” although this is not currently linked to his vanishing.
In a separate case, the grandparent of a four-year-old boy named Gus Lamont, who went missing in the outback nearly a year ago, has spoken out. Gus was last seen playing outside his family’s sheep station, Oak Park Station, near Yunta, in the Australian Outback on the evening of September 27, after which he disappeared without a trace.
Despite 11 extensive searches of Oak Park Station, the toddler remains missing, prompting his grandparent Josie Murray to address the matter publicly for the first time. Ms. Murray refuted any involvement in her grandson’s disappearance, despite being considered a primary suspect by the police, who theorize that she may have buried Gus to conceal an accidental death.
Expressing disbelief at the allegations, Ms. Murray questioned the rationale behind such accusations, stating, “It doesn’t make sense. Why would you do that to yourself?”
