“Gunshot Injuries: Boy, Man Hospitalized in Solihull”

A young boy and an adult male were swiftly transported to the hospital with severe injuries after being shot on a residential road in Solihull.

The incident occurred on Vauxhall Crescent at approximately 2:30 am today, Monday, June 15. Authorities are actively investigating the case, and no arrests have been made yet as they work to apprehend the perpetrator.

According to a local resident, multiple gunshots were heard in the area the previous night.

A police forensic tent was erected at the scene as officers meticulously searched for evidence.

A spokesperson from the West Midlands Police confirmed the incident, stating, “We are looking into an incident involving gunshots on Vauxhall Crescent, Smith’s Wood, early this morning.”

The police spokesperson added, “A man and a teenage boy sustained gunshot wounds shortly before 2:40 am today. They have been hospitalized with injuries deemed to be critical. Our investigation is in its preliminary stages, and officers will be conducting patrols in the vicinity to provide reassurance.”

Individuals with any relevant information or who were present in the area at the time are urged to contact the authorities through the provided channels, quoting incident number 313 of June 15.

The police have also established the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) for the submission of still or moving images related to the incident.

An ambulance spokesperson confirmed their response to the scene, stating, “We received a call at 2:35 am regarding an incident at Vauxhall Crescent, Castle Bromwich. Multiple emergency response units were dispatched, and two individuals received critical trauma care before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.”
