Elderly Woman Suffers Severe Injuries in Dog Attack

An elderly woman sustained severe head injuries after a dog attacked her on a residential street in Preston. Police took a man into custody and confiscated two dogs following the incident on Lily Grove around 3:55 pm last Saturday.

Law enforcement responded to the scene and discovered the woman with significant bite wounds to her head. She was promptly transported to the hospital for medical care. Lancashire Police confirmed the seizure of the two dogs involved in the attack and established a police cordon for investigations, as reported by Lancashire Live.

A 42-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control and remained in police custody on Sunday for further inquiries. Authorities are urging the public to provide any relevant information to help determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
