“UK Heatwave Set to Soar, London and Surrey to Hit 34C”

Forecasters are predicting a scorching heatwave in the UK, with temperatures set to soar to 34C in parts of the country. Weather maps indicate that on June 19, temperatures could exceed 30C in several counties, particularly in the south east where London and Surrey are expected to experience the highest temperatures at 34C.

Southern England, including Kent, Essex, and Sussex, is also bracing for hot weather with temperatures reaching between 31C and 33C. Other areas such as East Anglia, the Midlands, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, and Cambridgeshire are likely to see highs of around 30C.

Regions like Rutland, Leicestershire, and parts of Lincolnshire are forecasted to hit 30C, while Devon and Cornwall in the southwest may reach temperatures of 28C. Wales is expected to experience highs of around 26C, while Scotland, Northern Ireland, and much of Northern England will have cooler temperatures ranging from the low teens to the mid-20s.

Before the heatwave arrives, the UK is expected to face a rain system on June 8, followed by “changeable conditions” with showers and rain continuing. The Met Office warns of wet and windy weather at the start of the upcoming week, with rain moving southeastwards across the country and showers expected in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Despite the upcoming heatwave, Britons are advised to prepare for wet weather in the coming days before the arrival of the hot spell.
