A vascular surgeon has questioned the authenticity of the recent medical report on Donald Trump. Following his six-month health assessment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center last week, the 79-year-old president claimed that all results were “perfect.” The White House delayed the release of the report until Friday, where US Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, stated in a memo that the president is in “excellent health” with robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical functions.
Barbabella’s memo did mention minor issues such as slight lower leg swelling which has improved from the previous year, and ongoing hand bruising attributed to frequent handshaking and aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention. Despite these positive findings, some prominent doctors have raised doubts about the report’s credibility. Texas vascular surgeon William Shutze remarked to the Wall Street Journal that the results seem overly ideal for someone of Trump’s age, suggesting a curated narrative.
Jonathan Reiner, a CNN medical analyst and former cardiologist to Vice President Dick Cheney, expressed skepticism on social media, implying that the delay in releasing the medical examination results could indicate withheld information from the public.
