A United Airlines flight made an emergency landing due to an incident involving a disruptive passenger attempting to breach the cockpit. The flight, United UA2005, was en route from Chicago to Minneapolis when it diverted to Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin.
According to airline officials, the emergency landing was prompted by the disruptive behavior of an individual on board, with reports from passengers on social media indicating that the passenger was speaking in Russian and engaging in a mid-flight altercation. Allegations were made that the passenger also tried to gain access to the cockpit.
United Airlines issued a statement confirming the safe landing of the aircraft in response to a security concern involving the unruly passenger. The flight is scheduled to resume its journey to Minneapolis later. The Boeing 737 plane carried 147 passengers and six crew members, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
