The family of Masrob Ali, a 54-year-old Uber driver from Blackburn, is grieving the loss of their beloved father following a tragic crash in Bolton. Masrob, who had been driving his Citroen C4 Picasso on Wigan Road, was involved in a fatal collision with a red Seat Leon on the evening of January 10. The crash claimed the lives of Masrob and three teenagers in the Seat, while two passengers in Masrob’s taxi sustained severe injuries.
Masrob’s family described him as a dedicated taxi driver of ten years, often working late shifts despite their concerns for his safety. His daughter, Humayra, fondly remembered him as a kind and loving soul. The family has been receiving support from relatives and friends during this difficult time.
According to Humayra, her father was a safe driver, and it was confirmed that he did not suffer in the accident. She commended the Greater Manchester Police for their support and professionalism in handling the situation. Investigations are ongoing, with CCTV footage already collected and reviewed by the family, indicating Masrob was not at fault.
Witnesses to the collision are urged to contact the police for further information.
