Emergency services swiftly reacted to a collision in the parking lot of Parc Tawe retail park in Swansea city center just after 2 pm. The Welsh Ambulance Service, South Wales Police, and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service all arrived at the scene, where two individuals were trapped following a two-car collision.
Images from the site depict a section near Deichmann and Home Bargains stores cordoned off by police and ambulance vehicles, along with a fire engine, as paramedics and firefighters tended to the injured parties.
One of the vehicles seemed to have collided with the Deichmann store. A fire service representative mentioned that crews were engaged in freeing the trapped individuals using specialized equipment.
An eyewitness mentioned the arrival of the air ambulance after the arrival of multiple police cars and first responders, as reported by Wales Online.
Fire service officials stated that crews from Swansea Central and Swansea West Fire Stations were summoned to the incident at Parc Tawe North Retail Park in Swansea City Center. The teams successfully released the trapped casualties using advanced equipment, requiring the collaboration of various agencies, including South Wales Police and the Ambulance Service. The scene was cleared by 2:45 pm.
A representative from Wales Air Ambulance confirmed their presence at the incident in Swansea, noting that their Dafen crew arrived by air at 2:27 pm and concluded their involvement by 2:50 pm.
