Real Madrid’s forward, Vinicius Junior, received a direct red card for pulling the hair of Villarreal’s Nathan Saliba during their recent La Liga match. The incident occurred as Vinicius was celebrating his goal, leading the referee to overturn the goal after a video review and show Vinicius the red card for the hair pull. Despite being reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute, Real Madrid managed to secure a 1-0 win. Vinicius, who had come on as a substitute just before Real Madrid’s goal, found himself in a heated exchange with the referee before leaving the field. The team’s next match will be against Barcelona in two rounds.
