“18-Year-Old Charged with Terrorism Offenses”

An 18-year-old individual from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, has been charged with terrorism offenses for allegedly sharing videos as a member of 764, a recognized terrorist group in Canada. The arrest took place in Alberta on September 24 by the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET), with the charges announced in a press release by the RCMP.

Due to being a minor at the time of the alleged activities, the identity of the person is safeguarded under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The investigation was initiated following concerns about online behavior, focusing on a Telegram user who purportedly uploaded videos portraying real-world actions as a 764 member. The user was also found to be mentioned in various 764-related chatrooms on Discord and Telegram.

Described by the RCMP as “a transnational online ecosystem of violent online predators,” 764 coerces youth into engaging in harmful activities such as child sexual abuse, self-harm, and animal cruelty. Certain factions within the 764 network hold extreme ideological beliefs and target children, as highlighted in the news release.

764 was designated as a terrorist entity in December 2025 by the Canadian government. The 18-year-old is charged with several offenses, including involvement in terrorist group activities, aiding terrorist actions, and two counts of criminal acts for a terrorist organization. The individual is set to appear in Yorkton provincial court for a bail hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
