During the 39-day election campaign, CBC engaged with four key party leaders in Quebec to present their messages to the province’s residents. CBC host Debra Arbec conducted individual interviews with Quebec Liberal Leader Charles Milliard, Conservative Party of Quebec Leader Éric Duhaime, and Québec Solidaire’s Ruba Ghazal. Additionally, CBC National Assembly reporter Cathy Senay sat down with Parti Québécois Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon.
The leaders discussed a range of topics such as the cost of living, immigration, healthcare, language issues, and the possibility of a referendum. However, Coalition Avenir Québec Leader Christine Fréchette declined CBC’s invitation for a one-on-one interview.
