Jailed British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was captured in a photograph outside Number 10, among the many images released in the Epstein files. The exact date of the photo remains unclear. Maxwell is presently serving a 20-year prison term in a US federal facility for her involvement in recruiting and preparing young girls for sexual abuse by her deceased boyfriend, American financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Maxwell was convicted in late 2021 and was later transferred from a low-security prison in Florida to a minimum-security camp in Texas following an interview with US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Despite her lawyers’ arguments against her trial and conviction, the move was made.
Another image from the latest Epstein files shows Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor reclining with five individuals, with Maxwell standing nearby. The picture, without a specified date, depicts Mountbatten-Windsor smiling with closed eyes and Maxwell looking down at the scene.
In the released image, the faces of all individuals, except Maxwell and Mountbatten-Windsor, have been redacted. These documents, related to the scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein, were made available on the US Department of Justice website under the title “Epstein Library” around 9 pm on Friday.
Users accessing the site were placed in a queue, and some encountered an error message indicating their queue number had been rejected, with an option to obtain a new spot in line. A privacy notice on the Epstein Library page emphasized efforts to redact personal information, particularly related to victims and sensitive content.
The notice also mentioned the possibility of inadvertent inclusion of sensitive information and encouraged the public to report any such issues for prompt correction.
