Despite the defeat, Canada secured a spot in the 2027 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup in Poland after defeating Cuba in the semifinals. Additionally, the Canadian team is set to compete for an Olympic qualification this week. Their upcoming match against Mexico on Friday will determine their chances of advancing to the LA28 Olympics, where they would face either Cuba or the Dominican Republic in a crucial battle on Saturday.
