Drake delighted his fans with a variety of offerings, including multiple new tracks, in the release of his highly anticipated “not so short film” on Tuesday evening. Described as such in a teaser on Instagram last week, the hour-long film titled “Fear of Missing Out (FOMO)” was broadcast live on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple, taking viewers on a journey through Drake’s summer adventures and extravagant lifestyle.
The film showcased Drake dancing in his luxurious Toronto mansion, sharing moments with his mother Sandra Graham and her friends, and cruising towards the Toronto skyline in his lime-green luxury speedboat. Packed with Toronto- and Canada-themed references and hidden surprises, the video featured a scene of Drake walking through the Canadian National Exhibition with fellow rapper Loe Shimmy, both dressed in $150,000 Iron Man suits.
Featuring guest appearances from various stars such as SexyyRed, Stunna Sandy, model Winnie Harlow, NBA player Kevin Durant, adult film actress Lena the Plug, and others, the film also previewed new music, including unreleased collaborations with artists like Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor, and Yeat. Nine new tracks, including Drake’s highly awaited remix of Ella Langley’s hit “Choosin’ Texas,” were interspersed throughout the video.
During the Toronto premiere of “FOMO” on Tuesday, Drake, also known as “6 God,” surprised fans by announcing plans for a world tour in 2027. He casually mentioned, “There are some other things on the horizon, some big shows.”
Unfortunately, for fans who missed the livestream on Tuesday, Drake made the film private on his YouTube page shortly after its debut. Reactions from those who managed to watch it were mixed, with some expressing disappointment while others praised the film as a testament to Drake’s long-standing success in the music industry.
Jamaican dancehall artist Spice congratulated Drake on Instagram, acknowledging the hard work and dedication he poured into “FOMO.” The artist, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, had teased the film’s release last month by sharing family photos on Instagram with the caption “FOMO 2026” and later posting a CD cover labeled “Fear of Missing Out.”
