The New Jersey Devils have appointed Jessica Campbell as the manager of hockey development and Bryan McCabe as the Vice President of prospect personnel and assistant general manager for the Utica Comets in the American Hockey League. These appointments were revealed on Wednesday as players began reporting to training camp, marking the latest additions to the team’s management under the leadership of new GM Sunny Mehta.
Campbell comes to the Devils after serving as an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken for the past two seasons. Notably, Campbell made history as the first woman to hold a full-time on-bench assistant coaching position in the NHL. Both Campbell and McCabe will be reporting to assistant GM Braden Birch, who also joined Mehta from the Florida Panthers. McCabe, who was the director of player personnel in Florida, brings his expertise to the Devils’ organization alongside Campbell.
