Kreider and the Anaheim Ducks reached a mutual agreement to terminate his existing contract earlier in the week, paving the way for his move to Montreal.
Having spent just one season with the Ducks following his trade from the New York Rangers in June 2025, Kreider boasts an impressive track record of 348 goals and 284 assists across 958 games with both franchises. The 35-year-old veteran delivered 22 goals and 28 assists during his tenure with Anaheim last season.
