The picturesque island of Corsica, renowned for its beautiful beaches and rich cultural heritage, has been targeted by a separatist organization known as the Corsican National Liberation Front-Union of Combatants (FLNC-UC).
In a recent video released by the group, armed militants conveyed a message threatening individuals considering purchasing second homes on the island, cautioning them against feeling secure in their decision. Established in 1976, the FLNC has been involved in various violent acts over the years, including a series of bombings known as the “blue night.” While internal divisions have fragmented the organization into multiple factions, sporadic attacks attributed to the group have continued, with a notable incident occurring in 2023 targeting holiday residences and public buildings in Ajaccio.
