There are speculations that the United States could resume military action against Iran at a larger scale following discussions between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump. Ukraine claimed responsibility for targeting a Russian warship and vessels transporting Iranian-related military cargo in the Caspian Sea, although Iran’s Foreign Ministry denied direct involvement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Ebrahim Azizi, the head of Tehran parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, warned that any attack on Iran would have consequences, emphasizing that Iran does not tolerate unprovoked actions. Zelensky mentioned heightened Russian surveillance activities over Gulf states and US military facilities, with resulting imagery appearing in Iran.
The US has refrained from conducting further attacks on Iran for a third consecutive night as negotiations to de-escalate tensions continue. Both Iran and the US are reportedly preparing for potential escalation, with Iran allegedly relocating military assets from the east to the west. Despite previous relocations, Tehran is believed to possess sufficient weaponry for prolonged combat.
Reports suggest that Iran has been transferring arms, including rockets, missiles, and drones, with some equipment possibly originating from China and Russia. Concerns of a preemptive strike by Iran against Israel loom, especially as Hezbollah may have received resupplies from Iran.
