A tragic incident occurred at Olinda Via Park in Olinda, Brazil, where a seven-year-old boy, Bryan Henrique de Souza de Barros, drowned in a swimming pool while his pregnant mother briefly left to use the restroom. Bryan was found unconscious in the pool and rescued by a female visitor before receiving first aid from a firefighter at the park.
Despite efforts to save him, Bryan was later pronounced dead at an urgent care unit. His family expressed shock, noting that the pool, though appearing shallow, had areas deeper than 1.6m (5ft3in) without clear depth indicators or child access restrictions.

Bryan was laid to rest at Santo Amaro Cemetery in Recife, with José expressing the family’s devastation and determination to seek answers.
