“Tragic Loss: Grandmother Killed in Crash En Route to Identify Son’s Body”

A tragic incident has torn a family apart as a grandmother lost her life in a car accident while en route to identify the body of her deceased son. The family was on their way to Wrexham Maelor Hospital to identify the body of Andrew Tinsley, 46, who tragically died in the River Dee in Llangollen, North Wales on July 10. Carol Tinsley, 70, along with her ex-partner and three children, were traveling from West Derby, Liverpool, when they were involved in a fatal crash in Chester.

The collision occurred on Parkgate Road around 11:30 pm, with Carol losing her life at the scene. The family was left shattered, with Carol’s granddaughter Lisa, who was speaking to one of her cousins on the phone during the accident, recounting the harrowing experience. The sudden loss of Andrew, who was described as a beloved family member, has left the family in shock and disbelief.

The circumstances surrounding Andrew’s death are still being investigated, with initial reports suggesting he may have suffered from cold water shock while swimming in the river. The family is struggling to come to terms with the tragic events and is now faced with making funeral arrangements for both Carol and Andrew. Lisa’s daughter, Derrie, has initiated an online fundraiser to raise funds for a joint funeral, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on the grieving family.

The family members remember Carol and Andrew fondly, describing them as loving and vibrant individuals. They are overwhelmed by the support and generosity shown by those contributing to the fundraiser, allowing them to focus on grieving together as a family during this difficult time.
