“Prince William Pledges Support for England in World Cup Final”

Prince William has committed to traveling to the United States to show support for England if they reach the World Cup final. He mentioned that winning the tournament would be the ultimate goal. Interestingly, he shared that his father, the King, is not fond of football.

In an unexpected appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by NFL star Travis Kelce, Prince William engaged in a conversation about England’s prospects in the tournament, his admiration for the sport, and the differences between American and British sports fans.

Described as a “six-foot-three prince from London, England,” William was warmly welcomed by Jason, who listed his numerous titles and roles. When asked about England’s success in the World Cup, William expressed that winning the trophy is the only measure of success he envisions.

During the podcast, William expressed his optimism about England’s chances in the tournament despite past disappointments. He also praised the organization of the World Cup co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico.

The prince reminisced about his support for Aston Villa and disclosed that his father had no influence on his football allegiance. He also discussed his aspirations to bring a World Cup or European Championships to England as the patron of the Football Association.

Furthermore, William shared his favorite England players, including David Beckham, Gary Lineker, Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney, and Sir Bobby Charlton. He recalled meeting the Kelce brothers with his children at a Taylor Swift concert in 2024.

The podcast coincided with Travis and Taylor Swift’s impending wedding at Madison Square Garden, with elaborate preparations and a guest list of 1,000 attendees. In a previous radio appearance, Prince William hinted at a potential invitation to the high-profile wedding.

Ending on a lighter note, William corrected the Kelce brothers when they referred to football as soccer and expressed his commitment to promoting the sport in England.
