A woman in her twenties was swiftly taken to the hospital after being struck by a car that did not stop in Birmingham. The incident took place on Foxton Road, Alum Rock, where the pedestrian was hit by a silver hatchback, propelling her onto the road around 1:30 PM on Monday.
The driver of the car seemingly failed to notice the woman crossing and did not slow down before the collision. After hitting her, the driver drove away without checking on her well-being. Passersby rushed to assist the injured woman who sustained serious injuries.
Emergency services responded to the scene, providing on-site treatment for her severe injuries before transporting her to Heartlands Hospital. West Midlands Police have initiated an investigation to locate the driver, urging anyone with information to come forward.
