A man passed away from a heart attack while dragging the lifeless body of his girlfriend, who is suspected to have been killed by him, through the woods, according to an autopsy report. Jessica Folds, a mother of three from Lanett, Alabama, and her suspected assailant, Both Daniel Robbins, 44, from Macon, Georgia, were discovered deceased on June 10 in a wooded area close to the small rural community where Folds grew up.
The 47-year-old mother was found with her hands raised above her head, just a few miles from her residence, as confirmed by an autopsy indicating she was strangled to death. Robbins’ body was found beside hers, in a fetal position, with a visible trail indicating that he had dragged the deceased.
While the exact duration of their relationship remains undisclosed by the authorities, public records reveal that the mother and grandmother had lost her husband in February the previous year. Investigators suspect that Robbins murdered Folds during a domestic violence incident the night before their bodies were found. District Attorney Mike Segrest stated that Robbins likely suffered a heart attack while attempting to dispose of the body. Police were alerted to the area after a passerby noticed an abandoned vehicle with its engine running and followed drag marks that led to the discovery of the bodies.
Folds, survived by three adult sons and two grandchildren, was described in her obituary as someone who touched many lives with her kindness and infectious smile. Robbins, a father to one daughter, had his obituary removed from the funeral home’s website. The motive behind the alleged murder remains under investigation by the authorities.
