A graduate from Nottingham Trent University has tragically been found deceased nearly a week after disappearing during a run in Peru. Jordan Maginley, aged 29, was last spotted on CCTV jogging along the Malecón de Miraflores, a scenic six-mile clifftop boardwalk in Lima, the capital of Peru, on June 14.
Originally from Peru, Maginley pursued a four-year quantity surveying program at Nottingham Trent University from 2016 to 2020. He was employed as a senior quantity surveyor at construction consultancy Gleeds, which established an office in Lima in 2020.
Reports from local media indicate that Maginley experienced a medical emergency while running and was subsequently transported to a hospital. Due to lack of identification, he was admitted as an unidentified patient and was not initially linked to the missing persons case. His identity was confirmed on June 20 after thorough document verification and coordination with diplomatic authorities.
Following his disappearance, an appeal was made to locate Maginley when he did not return from his run. CCTV footage captured him running along the coastal path shortly before he went missing. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding his passing are currently ongoing.
