“Disruptive England Fans Force US Pub Shutdown”

A pub in the US that served over 5,000 beers to England fans had to shut down during a viewing event for the Three Lions’ victory against Croatia in the World Cup due to disruptive behavior.

The Londoner Pub in Dallas, Texas, had to close early as ordered by the fire marshal, following chaotic scenes captured on social media showing England supporters overflowing into the establishment.

Just the day before, the pub reportedly made more than £30,000 in sales from selling 2,352 bottles of beer.

Dallas Police were present outside the pub as rowdy fans, draped in St George’s flags, lingered around the area even after being dispersed.

In a statement, the pub expressed gratitude for the business but emphasized that the venue is part of a complex with other businesses, highlighting concerns about property damage and landscaping.

The closure was attributed to the disruptive behavior that unfolded, leading to the fire marshal’s order to cease operations for the day.

Despite attempts to manage the situation, the pub clarified that reports of sales figures were exaggerated and did not factor in the damage incurred.

The pub also reminded patrons of its location within a business complex that includes residential areas in Mockingbird Station.

On the previous day, the pub hosted a large crowd of England fans who defied police instructions to vacate the premises.

Incidents of fans playing football on the balcony, dropping plants, and authorities intervening to disperse the crowds were reported.

The early closure was attributed to the venue reaching its maximum capacity, with only two security guards present at the time.

The Londoner Pub informed customers of its plan to reopen at 11 am the following day to resume operations.
