A tourist named Nickolas Wiegand recently claimed to have captured images of the famed Loch Ness Monster during a holiday trip to the Scottish Highlands. He was reviewing his footage when he noticed a mysterious figure in the water, marking the fifth reported sighting of the creature this year.
According to Nickolas, he spotted the enigmatic creature around 10:14 am on May 18 while near the Loch Ness waters. He explained that due to time constraints on the tour, he only reviewed the footage after the trip ended, where he noticed something unusual lurking in the lake.
Upon careful examination of the photos and videos, Nickolas identified a large, unidentified object breaking the water’s surface at a distance from the shore. Other recent sightings of the Loch Ness Monster include reports from various individuals, such as Holly Palmer and Scott McMillan, Margaret Sunstrum and Joan Sweeney, and Sara Gubicza.
These sightings have been added to the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register for 2026, with a total of six sightings reported in 2025 and three in the previous year. Sasha Lake also recorded what he believes to be the monster but has yet to have it officially added to the register.
