“Father and Sons Face Charges in Weapons Arsenal Case”

The father of the man who killed Henry Nowak shielded his face with a notepad upon his arrival at court, facing charges related to weapons offenses. Moga Singh, aged 52, stood alongside his sons Gurpreet Digwa, 27, and murderer Vickrum Digwa, 23, to address accusations of possessing various offensive weapons in unauthorized locations.

The alleged arsenal included a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords, and kusaris. Gurpreet Digwa faced additional charges, including possessing offensive weapons in public spaces such as an asp, a prohibited air rifle, an axe, and a kirpan.

This court appearance followed Vickrum Digwa’s sentencing to life imprisonment with a minimum of 21 years for the fatal stabbing of Henry Nowak in Southampton last year. The prosecution requested more time to evaluate the charges against the defendants due to the discovery of multiple weapons in the case.

The defense lawyer, Harmail Gill, sought a postponement of at least four weeks for thorough consideration of the charges by both sides. The magistrates, led by Jennifer Pitt, granted an adjournment until July 9. Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa were released on unconditional bail until the next hearing, while Vickrum Digwa, already serving a prison term, was on technical bail.

Jennifer Pitt instructed Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa to be present at 1:30 pm for the next hearing, while allowing Vickrum Digwa to attend via videolink from prison. The weapons offenses occurred between December 4, 2025, and the day following Henry’s tragic death.
