A 36-year-old man named Edward Holden, residing at Alexandra Place in Penzance, has been accused of rape and murder following the discovery of a deceased woman in her 80s near Helston. The woman’s body was found at a property in Ashton on Friday, May 29, leading to Holden’s arrest.
Holden has been placed in custody and is scheduled to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 1, according to Cornwall Live. Devon and Cornwall Police responded to a call at the property in Ashton shortly after midnight on the same day.
