“Former Waitress Alleges Misconduct by Prince Andrew at Royal Ascot 2002”

A former waitress has come forward with allegations of misconduct involving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at Royal Ascot in 2002. The incident is under investigation as part of a broader probe into Andrew’s conduct. Authorities have not disclosed when the accusation was first reported, but it was not brought to the attention of racecourse management at the time.

Buckingham Palace refrained from commenting on the matter, citing an ongoing police inquiry into Andrew. Recent reports confirm that Andrew was present at Royal Ascot in June 2002, accompanied by other members of the royal family.

Royal Ascot, known for its grand hospitality and extravagant events, hires numerous temporary catering staff for the occasion. In a separate development, Andrew had hosted Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell at the event in 2000. He last attended Royal Ascot in 2019 before stepping back from royal duties due to a controversial interview regarding his association with Epstein.

In February, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and released under investigation after 11 hours in custody. Authorities are focusing on his tenure as a government trade envoy, during which he allegedly shared confidential reports with Epstein.

The investigation has expanded to include potential offenses beyond misconduct in public office, such as sexual misconduct and corruption. Thames Valley Police are pursuing various leads but declined to provide specifics on the ongoing investigation.

Ascot Racecourse chose not to comment on the situation but indicated willingness to cooperate with law enforcement if required. Recent reports suggest that confidential government information shared by Andrew with a business associate may have been conveyed to Buckingham Palace several years ago.

Despite the mounting allegations, Andrew maintains his innocence and has expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation. The royal household has faced scrutiny over its handling of sensitive information related to Andrew’s activities.
