Police recovered the body of a teenage girl at Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire. The incident occurred on Monday, May 25, when officers responded to a report regarding a teenage girl in the water at Bodymoor Heath Lane around 6pm. Following a search of the park, the girl’s body was found at approximately 7.20pm. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified.
An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. Authorities will maintain a presence at the park in the coming days and have urged the public not to speculate about the incident. A spokesperson from Atherstone and Coleshill Police confirmed the tragic discovery and emphasized the support being provided to the girl’s next of kin by trained officers.
It was reported by Coventry Live that the police spokesperson stated, “We can confirm that, sadly, the body of a teenage girl was recovered from the water shortly after 7.20pm. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The police further added, “An investigation into the circumstances has begun, and we would ask people to avoid speculation about what has happened. Our thoughts remain with her family and friends during this difficult time.”
