A British woman named Wendy Iles has gone missing in Spain, sparking a frantic search effort. Wendy was supposed to return to the UK from Costa Blanca but disappeared without a trace along with her dog. Concerns arose when she lost contact with her family, with her daughter suspecting her passport was stolen and her phone turned off.
Authorities, including Interpol and UK police, were alerted after Wendy was last heard from in the Alfafar area near Valencia on Sunday evening. Her daughter Louise, who launched a plea for help, disclosed that Wendy was traveling with her Springer Spaniel towards Caen, France, to catch a ferry back to Britain but never made the crossing on May 23.
Described as 5ft tall and accompanied by her dog, Wendy’s daughter urged anyone with information to come forward. Despite challenges in tracking her movements, Louise shared an update requesting assistance from those in Spain to locate Wendy in the Valencia region. She expressed frustration over the delays in police actions due to protocols.
Louise detailed the confusion Wendy exhibited during their last conversation, mentioning that Wendy had failed to reach a recommended hotel while dealing with camper van issues. The family continues to seek information as Wendy’s whereabouts remain unknown, with the UK Foreign Office being informed of the situation.
