“Man’s Bridge Proposal Wins Heart of Girlfriend”

Romantic Liam Slade made a unique gesture to ask the woman he loves, Grace Woodman, to be his girlfriend. He displayed a handwritten message on a bedsheet from a bridge as a surprise for her. The 25-year-old prepared the bedsheet using spray paint provided by Grace’s father, and the message was securely attached to the bridge above the A41 in Bicester, Oxfordshire, where they often drove past.

Grace, a 24-year-old recruitment consultant, described the proposal on May 3 as an easy decision, saying, “We were in the car, and he just said, ‘Look up,’ and there it was – it was a very easy yes.” She expressed her joy at the thoughtful surprise, mentioning Liam’s generosity and kindness.

Liam, who owns a Carpet and Flooring Company in Banbury, Oxfordshire, shared that the idea came to him spontaneously as he passed the bridge during his usual drives with Grace. With the help of Grace’s sister, Eva, they carefully set up the message to ensure it was visible from the road.

Reflecting on the gesture, Liam expressed his desire to make the moment special for Grace, emphasizing the importance of positivity and grand gestures in a world filled with negativity. He described Grace as a significant part of his life, highlighting their happiness and strong bond.

Looking ahead, Liam acknowledged the challenge of surpassing this romantic gesture for a potential wedding proposal, admitting that he has set the bar high. Despite the potential risks involved, he was pleased with how well the surprise unfolded and appreciated the positive response it received.

As they move forward in their relationship, Liam expressed his gratitude for having Grace in his life and the happiness she brings, emphasizing the importance of making each other a top priority.
