“London firefighters battle blaze at Knollmead residence”

A fire broke out at a residence in London, prompting the response of eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters to combat the blaze.

The incident occurred at a mid-terraced house in Knollmead, Tolworth, where the fire had engulfed the building’s roof, as reported by the London Fire Brigade. Several fire crews from neighboring stations were dispatched to the scene.

At 3:47 pm, the Brigade received the initial call reporting the fire. Responding swiftly, eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters arrived at the location on Knollmead, Tolworth.

During the peak of the incident, the fire affected a mid-terraced two-story house, leading to part of the roof catching fire. A 32m ladder from the Brigade was utilized in the emergency response efforts.

By 5:11 pm, the situation was under control, with firefighters successfully managing the blaze. Crews from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and other nearby fire stations were mobilized to assist at the site.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the London Fire Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.

The fire, which erupted at a mid-terraced property on Knollmead in Tolworth within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, was contained by 5:11 pm. Knollmead is recognized for being home to Knollmead Primary School.

The London Fire Brigade is yet to determine the cause of the fire, which has affected the roof of the house.

Upon arrival, fire crews found the roof of the building ablaze, necessitating the deployment of a 32m ladder as part of their operational response.

The fire originated in a two-story mid-terraced house on Knollmead in Tolworth. Additional crews from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and surrounding fire stations were dispatched to the scene.
